Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino Review
The Golden Nugget has pretty much reigned as Downtown's top property since the mid 1970s, evolving with the times, but maintaining classic appeal. Among its neighbors in what is known as "Old Vegas," the hotel stands apart with attractions such as The Tank, a pool with a shark tank and a three-story waterslide (which, incidentally, goes through the shark tank). The property also has some of the newest rooms; the modern and sophisticated Rush Tower opened in late 2009. Casino policies are inconsistent, but the popular poker room, which stars on NBC's "Poker After Dark," is likely to last.
