Even among celebrity chefs, Jean-Georges Vongerichten has established a "can't touch this" reputation. Prime—with its gorgeous view of the fountains—has become a place to see and be seen at Bellagio. In a velvet-draped gold, burgundy, and blue room that recalls a Prohibition-era speakeasy, choice cuts of beef are presented with mustards and sauces, from the classic Béarnaise to the more adventurous kumquat-pineapple chutney. You can also try signature Vongerichten dishes, such as crab spring rolls with tamarind sauce and tuna au poivre with wasabi mashed potatoes and steamed bok choy. Men are asked, but not required, to wear jackets.

this place was really great... the service, staff, food, ambiance. we went to Daniel Boulud Brasserie @ Wynn the following night after seeing a show and there was no comparison. everything @ DBB was soooo unbelieveably salty!! horrible... and overpriced for the portions. Prime Steakhouse definitely caters to their clientele. if something is not to your liking, they will do whatever they can to make sure you are pleased. the staff is exceptionally warm and personable too. we will certainly be going back to Prime nxt trip to LV.

Wanted so much to love Prime. High expectations for a culinary feast crushed by possibly the worst Chilean Sea Bass dish I ever tasted (bass with maple syrup and sauteed mushrooms????). Atmosphere is close to perfection. Lush appointments and beautiful decor cannot unfortunately mask the unprofessional behaviors of some of the wait staff whom chat endlessly amongst themselves within earshot of patrons.
