Fodor's Review:

Chef-owner Todd English has incorporated the best features of his Boston-area Olives and Figs restaurants in his Las Vegas eatery, which received a snazzy makeover in 2006. The patio overlooking Bellagio's spectacular lake is perfect for alfresco dining, and the dining room has great views of the lake as well as the open kitchen. Among the highlights are appetizers of beef carpaccio on crispy Roquefort polenta, portobello picatta, and venison bruschetta. Entrées include crispy-skin duck breast on pumpkin agrodolce (with a sweet-sour pumpkin sauce) and a signature butternut-squash tortelli. The chocolate falling cake is tantalizing.

Olives isn't all that. Sure, the views outside are gorgeous. However, the food inside is dull and thoughtless. My pasta was nearly inedible. The cannoli shell tasted stale. Not even the olives were interesting here!

Seriously, even Cheesecake Factory across the street at Caesar's serves better food. It's so saddening, as I was expecting so much more from a restaurant created by such a great chef. Unfortunately, Olives Las Vegas is not worth your time and certainly not worth your hard-earned money.
