Spiedini Ristorante

Updated 05/28/2014

Fodor's Review

Longtime local chef Gustav Mauler serves traditional favorites including his signature osso buco, shrimp fra diavolo and chicken saltimbocca—along with house-made pastas, risotti, and gnocchi. Starters likeTuscan Hummus and beef carpaccio make way for chicken involtini and wild Alaskan halibut. Don't miss the gelato and sorbet for dessert, or Emilio's Famous Cheesecake. There's a full bar in front and patio out back for dining by a burbling waterfall. Wine dinners ($69)

are often hosted on the fourth Tuesday of the month; four selections of wine paired with four small plates.

disgruntled employee review

The previous review "I saw a rat!" was written by a disgruntled employee. I won't lie, I'm an employee of Spiedini and this review was brought to my attention by a guest who joked about it after having a great meal. I did some research and they've written this review (verbatim) at several other sites, please disregard it. One visit to our restaurant will dispell any doubts you might have. The food, service and ambiance are all excellent. Thanks

for your time!

I saw a RAT!!!

Spiedini looks lovely to the eye, with beautiful decor. But the good stops there. To start with, our server was slow to greet us, treated us inconsequentially, and was chewing gum. Her table manner was terrible, what you would expect from a waitress at a roadside diner. We ordered a lovely bottle of wine, and discovered that our server had no knowledge of the wine list and did not know anything about wine service. Our appetizer (grilled calamari)

was passable, but my Chicken Parmesan entree was dry, and my husband's steak was overcooked. We sent it back, only to be delivered back with a small piece of fatty meat. And then to top it off, as we were dining in the raised area, we saw a large rat run between the bar stools and then behind the bar. We complained to the server, and she looked at us critically and said "Welcome to Spiedini". This was one of the worst dining experiences I have had, and I recommend that no one dine there.

Escape 'The Strip'! Reclaim elegance....

As a Las Vegas resident, I always make a point of taking my out-of-town visitors to dine at "Spiedini" in the Regent Las Vegas (Summerlin). My guests are amazed to discover that it is, indeed, possible to find such a relaxing oasis of calm and sophistication in Las Vegas! We've never had a dining experience at "Spiedini" that was not perfection from beginning to end.

Executive Chef Emilio La Scala is as hot as the food!

Emilio is from Milan, a true Italian. You have to come in to see him and have a great bite to eat!
