Fodor's Review:

The Golden Nugget is one of the only notable casino hotels downtown, and its Carson Street Cafe is one of the neighborhood's more reliable options, especially late at night (it's open 24/7). The restaurant has a stylish Southern plantation feel and plays host to downtown's movers and shakers during weekday breakfast and lunch hours. Among the breakfast selections are eggs Benedict and the Vegas Experience—banana bread with walnut-cinnamon cream cheese, bananas, kiwi, and strawberries. Old familiars on the lunch and dinner menus include rainbow trout, Southern fried chicken, and slabs of baby back ribs.
