Fodor's Review:

The main hotel is the more affordable and less fabulous lodging component of Mandalay Bay, but it's still a first-rate property with cavernous rooms. Prices still do run pretty high. Bathrooms have understated, elegant stone floors and counters as well as deep soaking tubs with separate showers. The breezy, low-key decor is luxurious without being overbearing.

Bad Customer Service

Posted by mknwvs from San Diego, California on 8/30/08
Stayed in TheHOTEL, beautiful rooms (not well cleaned-found tickets and reservation info from a previous guest). Beautiful property and pool, but very crowded! Could overlook all of the above if there was decent customer service. But did not encounter one nice person, they all behaved like they were doing me a favor by checking us in, answering questions. They must think they are the only hotel in town. We will NEVER GO BACK!

Had a great experience

Had a surprisingly good time at the Mirage. Stayed in a Tower Suite, and it was spacious & well done. Will definitely stay again if the price is right

Will never go back

We stayed here in 2004 and really loved it. However, that was before the MGM conglomerate took it over and before the monorail from Luxor/Excalibur came through. We went back in December 2007 and had a horrible time. Lots of little kids running around, some literally running up and down the hallways outside our door all night long. Try to get something to eat after 10 pm...just try! All the restaurants were closed, except the coffee shop, which had a wait of over an hour. We decided to try room service...and were told that would be a 50 minute wait. We checked out early and won't be returning.

Watch out for weekends!

My wife and I looked forward to staying here, but the neighbors were loud and the walls paper-thin, we didn't get any sleep that night. The facilities in the casino were great, but upon checkout, the registration person stated it wasn't their fault about the noise, because after all, Las Vegas is a 24 hour city. I don't agree with the attitude or the rooms. I'd visit during the day but won't stay there again overnight.

Highly recommended

Stayed here this weekend for a conference. Beautifl property, very plush and resort-like. You could spend a week just enjoying the property without ever leaving. Lots of food choices, entertainment, and the cleanliness and service were exemplary. No wait for check-in or check out and all of our requests were easily accommodated in a very professional and prompt manner - the service associates were obviously well renovation in certain spots but ample room for enjoyment and did not impact the quality of our stay in any way. I would highly recommend this to anyone - especially if you can get a good rate and are debating between this and another strip property - pick Mandalay Bay.
