This cavernous nuevo Mexican place across from the Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa has a circular hot-pink dining room with stained-glass windows and offbeat light fixtures. This is the perfect setting for such whimsical creations as lobster empanadas with pineapple puree, black bean-and-smoked cheddar soup, marinated-goat tacos with avocado and cilantro, and blue-corn chicken enchiladas with fiery green chile. There's a terrific Mexican-coffee flan with cinnamon creme and fresh berries for dessert. Another big draw is the lengthy list of connoisseur-quality tequilas. Night owls should note that Agave is open 24 hours a day. The laid-back patio offers a refreshing contrast to the bustling dining room.

Cavernous is a good word for the very nice appointment of the interior decor! Not at all what was expected. Tough to make a huge fuss over good Mexican cuisine but this was a very good experience. The moderate price and the food preparation/taste make this as good of Mexican dining as you might find in Las vegas.
