The Las Vegas Hilton took a risk when it booked a title that seemed the antithesis of casino entertainment: a niche musical aimed at older women who have experienced "the change." Yet the producers hit pay dirt, quickly expanding to 10 shows per week, half of them in the afternoons. It's basically a cabaret revue of song parodies running down a checklist of menopause symptoms. "We're having a heat wave," for example, becomes "I'm having a hot flash." But it's well performed by a quartet of archetypal women—who commiserate during a daylong shopping spree—and a perfect fit for the cozy Shimmer Cabaret.
