Fodor's Review:

The museum has displays of mammals from the likes of Alaska and Africa and has rooms full of sharks (including live ones, swimming in a 3,000-gallon reef tank), birds, dinosaur fossils, and hands-on exhibits. Here kids can walk past a 35-foot-tall Tyrannosaurus rex that lowers its head and roars, see the ichthyosaur Shonisaurus, Nevada's state fossil, and tour the Wild Nevada Gallery, where they can see, smell, and even touch Nevada wildlife.

  • Cost: $7, $3 children 3-11
  • Open: Daily 9-4
