Perhaps befitting the surreal dream implied in the title, it has been a long, strange voyage for this aquatic spectacle created by director Franco Dragone. It was heavily revised after it was deemed too reminiscent of his other Cirque du Soleil works, and the theater-in-the-round now has a deluxe seating area with champagne service akin to a first-class airline ticket. New lighting better focuses audience attention on the acrobatics in and above the circular pool. Darker elements were toned down and the sex appeal turned up. Max Chmerkovskiy from Dancing with the Stars added a ballroom element to the water-based stunts and aerial acrobatics. The result is still (agreeably) strange, but at least now it's a viable contrast to Cirque du Soleil's O.
