FIX

Fodor's Review

The ceiling, constructed almost entirely of Costa Rican padouk wood, curves like a breaking wave at this upscale comfort-food restaurant, where childhood favorites get updated twists. Try the roasted tomato soup with grilled bacon-goat cheese, or the Kobe chili-cheese fries. Craving carbs? Indulge in the Adult Mac and Cheese with truffle oil and prosciutto or the smoked mashed potatoes. Entrées may include duck and waffles with fried egg and maple bourbon syrup, or crisp-skinned

pork shank with sweet corn spoon bread and collards. Apple pie doughnuts or warm banana bread pudding are a perfect ending to your meal. The kitchen serves until 10:30 pm most evenings, and until 2 am on Friday and Saturday, and late-night and pre-"O" (Cirque du Soleil) menus are offered.

FIX Review

Cute little lobster tacos with lime-infused avacado mayo and the most amazing filet mignon I've ever had--well-aged with a slightly smoky flavor and a very generous portion. The place has a cool vibe with the curvy wooden ceiling and competent service. A small place when considering the size of Bellagio so they can pay close attention to preparing great tasting food.

Didn't get my FIX

My other half and I had dinner reservations for FIX this december, and I had high hopes after reading the reviews on here and other sites. Unfortunately, the meal did not live up to my expectations. The atmosphere was pleasant, if a little dark, and the service was quick and friendly. The food was a different matter. We ordered the veal wellington, forks, lobster tacos, and the adult mac & cheese. The veal tasted "gardeny" as my boyfriend put it;

as if they had stuffed it with lawn grass. The forks were not terrible, but they tasted overwelmingly of cream cheese. The adult mac & cheese... this was the dish I had heard the most about, almost all of it positive, so I was quite disappointed when I was served greasy friend noodles and cheese that tasted like it came from a can. Bleh. On the plus side, the lobster tacos were very fresh and tasty, and I had a cucumber martini that was excellent. The only reason I would consider going again would be for that cucumber martini.

Fried Mac & Cheese a Must!

Our table shared a bunch of items and fully enjoyed everything. Mini tacos, fried mac & cheese and yummy lobster mashed potatoes are unbelievable. My filet mignon was top notch. Try it early for a quieter dinner or later to be part of the buzz!

More Nightclub than Restaurant

Don't eat here expecting a nice, quiet dinner. The music was so loud that my husband and I had to practically yell to each other across our small table to be heard. The food was excellent, though, so if you don't mind the music/noise, then I would highly recommend Fix for a good meal. The fried mac and cheese was unlike anything I've ever had before.
