Since the MGM Grand and Mandalay Bay both built their own concert and sporting arenas, this venue, on the campus of UNLV, has come to rely less on concerts and more on sporting events such as the National Finals Rodeo and, of course, Runnin' Rebels basketball. The adjacent Cox Pavillion is a smaller venue for women's basketball and the occasional touring children's show.
