Showcase Mall Review

"Mall" is a bit of a misnomer here, where stores are more like highly evolved interactive marketing concepts. First off, there's M&M's World, the four-story homage to the popular candy, where huge dispensers with every color and type line one wall. More sugar awaits you at Everything Coca-Cola, where $8 buys either the Around the World sampler of 16 colorful, international soda flavors or 8 flavors of floats. Branded apparel, accessories, and interesting collectibles are also for sale. Post-sugar buzz, you can head to the Hard Rock Cafe to browse the interactive video Rock Wall or buy T-shirts designed by artists like Bon Jovi or Shakira in its retail store. An inexpensive place to buy souvenirs, snacks, water, and booze is in the Grand Canyon Experience, with its faux rocks and wooden rope bridge. The Showcase Mall's parking structure ($3) is right next to MGM Grand; the best access is from the 5th floor, where a pedestrian bridge crosses into the mall. A less hectic option is to park at any of the surrounding hotels for free (MGM, NY–NY, Monte Carlo) and walk here.
