¢-$, Southern, Northwest Las Vegas
Fodor's Review:
You can smell the barbecue -- actually the smoking wood that's used to cook these down-home favorites -- the minute you walk in the door, at this otherwise nondescript-looking eatery in far northwest Las Vegas. It's worth the drive for exceptionally flavorful beef brisket and pork loin, which are smoked for 18 hours. The baby back ribs are Buckingham's signature piece, but less expensive choices include smoked ham, smoked salmon fillet, pulled pork, and even a hickory-smoked Philly sandwich. For a zesty change of pace, consider the horseradish coleslaw; the sweet-potato french fries are a sweet taste on the side.
