Rain in the Desert

Fodor's Review:

This vast round nightclub and concert house got tons of free publicity in 2002 and 2003 as a major setting for MTV's The Real World. It's still equipped with dancing waters (trust us, they dance), video projections on a 40-foot-high water curtain (trust us, it looks like a curtain), and occasional blasts of fire. Perhaps because the Palms shares ownership with the Sacramento Kings, the club even includes "skyboxes" that go for exorbitant fees. Thursday is the signature night, known as Drenched. In summer the action expands to the adjacent pool area for Skin, a pool lounge with the same management.
