Lindo Michoacán Review

Javier Barajas, the congenial owner and host of this colorful cantina chain, named it for his home in Mexico. He presents outstanding specialties that he learned to cook while growing up in the culinary capital of Michoacán. Many menu items are named for his relatives, including flautas Mama Chelo (corn tortillas filled with chicken). Michoacán is known for its carnitas, so don't miss them. Or try the cabrito birria de chivo (roasted goat with red mole sauce). Guacamole is made table-side. Finish with the flan, a silken wonder. Barajas has three other locations around the city, and has had a hand in two other similar restaurants—Bonito Michoacán and Viva Michoacán—on Decatur Boulevard and Sunset Road, respectively.

Great Off the Strip Dining Experience

Just back from a work trip to Vegas and was tired of eating super luxe/overly-expensive meals in the hotels, so picked this place for a little something different. Margaritas were fabulous. For the meal, we had the carnitas and the chicken with flour and corn tortillas both of which were outstanding, but didn't leave us feeling over-stuffed. For dessert, we tried the flan, which was over the top rich and maybe a bit too much. Fun, festive atmosphere and lovely staff. Would recommend if you need to get off the strip to somewhere a bit more local.

Great food, great atmosphere, great service. We went for lunch. Food was excellent and reasonable prices. The
Salsa was hot but outstanding. Highly recommend. You

    Great Mexican food

Very low-key, authentic restaurant off the strip, but worth the drive. HUGE menu of Mexican dishes. Best tacos I've had in a long time, and enchiladas were great too. I don't think you would be disappointed with anything ordered here!
