Fodor's Expert Review Red Square Restaurant & Vodka Lounge
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
Red Square marks its entrance with a headless statue of Lenin, and the interior has an imperial opulence with soaring ceilings and intricate chandeliers—as well as a bar made of ice. Start with a Red Dawn or Moscow Mule cocktail and choose among five caviars or the salmon pizza with caviar and pickled red onions. Move on to a course of dumplings from there; the varenki with farmers cheese, pink peppercorn, and mint are as authentic as they come. For entrées you can't go wrong with the Berkshire pork chop or short-rib Stroganoff. Be sure to check out the walk-in vodka freezer, where you might even spot the statue's missing head.
