N9NE Steakhouse. A trendy, attractive clientele often populates this sleek and upscale-but-unstuffy restaurant, newly renovated in late 2013; keep your eyes wide open for the occasional celebrity sweeping in for face time, champagne, and caviar. (Note: Background music and conversation can be loud at times.) A dozen high-quality cuts of beef are listed on the menu as well as several a la carte sides—potato gnocchi, sweet creamed corn, button mushrooms, and so forth—but there are other superb entrées, too, such as juicy grilled lamb chops with a parmesan and pine nut crust, or moist organic Fire Chicken with lemon-rosemary sauce, garnished with red and green slow-roasted jalapenos. The pricey Lobster Thermidor is 3 pounds of sauteed lobster, with Gruyere cheese sauce and toasted garlic bread crumbs. Order the prix fixe meal before 7 pm, a delicious value with wine pairings and dessert ($59 per guest). The Palms, 4321 W. Flamingo
