Fodor's Expert Review MIX
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
Dress to impress, arrive at 5, and tip into the lounge at Mix for a cocktail first; it's the best vantage point from which to see the stunning view from Chef Alain Ducasse's 64th-floor perch atop The Delano at Mandalay Bay. Skip the tiny, tightly spaced tables at dinner and reserve a seashell-shape booth instead. Try the signature roasted Maine lobster au curry or the seared scallops with cauliflower and vinegar. Portions are petite and prices are not, but you're also paying for the fine ambience and great Strip views through the floor-to-ceiling windows. An attentive staff can help you navigate the more than 1,300 nightly wine options, but a glass of bubbly may be the perfect potion to sip underneath the 15,000 or so hand-blown spheres that cascade from the wondrous 24-foot-tall Murano-glass chandelier.
