Fodor's Review

This credible remake of the famed 1927 Manhattan original offers an old-school carnivore experience inside the cleverly decorated New York–New York Casino. This convivial tavern's walls are lined with black-and-white photos of sports stars, actors, and politicos, and the hardwood floors and tray ceilings transport guests directly to Gotham. You can admire the aged steaks in a big cooler visible from the cobblestone promenade near the entrance. The menu's refreshingly simple: pick your main dish (Colorado lamb chop, center-cut filet mignon, and so on) and then one of the six sauces (béarnaise, brandied peppercorn, shallot and Beaujolais, Stilton blue cheese, wild mushroom, and caramelized onion) to accompany it. Gallagher's is open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, and serves lunch at the bar.

Not worth it. Poor service. Food OK but nothing to write home about.

Service was my main issue with this establishment. My wife requested changes to the standard menu fare. We were told that this was impossible and that they did not do such things. I ordered house specialty, dry-ages steak. I was expecting somethng spectacular. It was very ordinary. Restaurant is cramped. For the price, this place isn't worth it.

Best Steak in Las Vegas

The aged Sirloin on the bone is an experience that's tough to describe, you just have to try it. A huge slab of meat, it melts in your mouth. Try the chilled shellfish, the lobster, or the king crab as well. My new favorite restaurant in LV!
