A beautiful, postmodern space with a split-level dining room that's done in rich chocolate, copper, and tan tones, this trattoria sits along MGM's booming restaurant row, the District. Executive Chef Vincenzo Scarmiglia turns out deftly seasoned Italian food, such as a crispy calamari appetizer with zucchini and zesty pepperoncini. Several fish, poultry, and beef entrées are on the menu, such as grilled Mediterranean sea bass or roast chicken. The braised beef short rib is very popular here, by itself or as the filling for ravioli, and is served with a red-wine reduction. The restaurant's signature pasta dish—potato gnocchi with lobster, cremini mushrooms, and truffle cream—is a rich endulgence.
