Fodor's Expert Review Culinary Dropout

Six-time James Beard Award finalist for Outstanding Restaurateur Sam Fox has put a unique stamp on this irreverent hangout inside the Hard Rock. The restaurant flaunts all the rules but turns out seriously reinvented pub food with sometimes whimsical names. Menu items range from Yesterday's Soup, house potato chips with onion dip, and the "cheap house salad" to culinary wonders including 36-hour pork ribs with jalapeño and molasses. During brunch on weekends, consider the Bread Pudding French Toast, spicy vegan curry, or smoked salmon avocado toast. Happy hour from 3 to 6 pm weekdays offers food specials and "Genuinely Cheap Drinks." The Hard Rock Hotel will be closing in late February 2020 and will reopen in November as the Virgin Hotel Las Vegas. It's uncertain which restaurants will continue with the new hotel.
