Swan River Inn Review

Situated in downtown Bigfork with views overlooking Bigfork Bay, the Swan River Inn has eight opulent suites decked out with themes such as Victorian, country French, safari (decorated with antiques gathered from world travels), or Montana-made furnishings. They also have three houses in Bigfork, such as the Carriage House or Trapper Cabin, with the same luxurious amenities. The restaurant ($$–$$$) at the Swan River Inn exudes European elegance, serving filet mignon wrapped in bacon, rack of lamb with a huckleberry demi-glace, and Margrit's Famous Spaghetti. There is a brunch on Sunday, and look for celebrations, such as Oktoberfest, at different times of the year.

    cold food, overpriced

We ate in the restaurant on the outdoor deck - the atmosphere was lovely although hot (early July) - unfortunately the food arrived ice cold - halibut with dill sauce, broccoli with cheese sauce, potatoes, rice - very expensive for such poor quality and service (NOTE: we did not stay at this hotel but I was forced to enter a rating for the room )
