Symes Hot Springs Hotel and Mineral Baths

Symes Hot Springs Hotel and Mineral Baths Review

Truly a unique find on the western edge of the Flathead Indian Reservation, this rustic 1928 hotel has hot mineral pools from continuously flowing springs, spa treatments, massage, and live music on weekends. In the restaurant ($-$$$) steak, seafood, and pasta satisfy hungry soakers. The hotel itself isn't a standout, though the rates (-$$) are reasonable. Several historic hot springs in the area attracted Native Americans for centuries. Pros: A great place to get away from crowds. Cons: Quite a ways from larger towns.

There were 4 of us and we loved the rustic homey atmosphere of the hotel and hot springs. The staff was awesome and we're talking about making it a yearly ritual from now on with one exception. We will NEVER, EVER eat at their restuarant again. We all 4 ordered different dinners and all 4 were so disgusting we couldn't eat them. The servie was horrbile, it took over 1 1/2 hour to get way over cooked tasteless food and even as early as we ate they seeemed to be out of about 50% of what was listed on the menu. I am 59 years old and believe this was my worst restaurant experience ever. The food was disgusting to say the least, as was the service.
