Capers Review

For more than a decade Capers was known as Café Max, and it was the place for upscale dining in Kalispell. The owners decided it was time to provide more moderately priced meals with the same delicious flair. The revamped menu still offers upscale fare, such as the grilled Montana buffalo tenderloin or melt-in-your-mouth seared ahi, but also includes less pricey but equally impressive brick oven pizzas and vegetarian lasagna. Capers serves outstanding wine and a surprisingly varied selection of local and imported beer. For dessert, try their tiramisu.

    One of the Best

    Cafe Max, is now Capers. Same location, and same wonderful people, but a new menu with more of a bistro flavor than the fine dining of Cafe Max. Doug Day is one of the most creative, talented chefs in the Northwest. We have enjoyed his cooking at various venues over the past 15 years. He and his wife Vonnie, make a truly talented team. We look forward to our next meal at Capers.
