The Sanders Bed and Breakfast

328 N. Ewing St., Helena, Montana, 59601, United States

Colonel Wilbur Sanders, one of the first senators of Montana, built this three-story Victorian mansion in 1875. The colonel's rock collection is still in the front hall, and husband-and-wife owners Rock Ringling and Bobbi Uecker have retained his furnishings. Most rooms overlook mountain-ringed downtown Helena. Memorabilia in the Sanders Suite pays homage to Rock's great-grandfather, one of the five Ringling Brothers of legendary circus fame. Breakfasts are a work of art: Grand Marnier French toast, orange soufflé, or gingerbread waffles. Homemade cookies and refreshments are served afternoons in the elegant parlor.
