Fodor's Review:
A locals' hangout, The Great Northern Bar and Grill may be stinky and smoky but it rocks with local bands and the occasional sort-of-big-name gig. The stage is surrounded by signs from Whitefish enterprises that are now defunct. Nonsmokers take refuge on the patio to enjoy a brew, a pile of nachos, and the cool summer evening.
