Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are increasingly popular in the park. Glacier distributes a free pamphlet titled Ski Trails of Glacier National Park, with 16 noted trails. You can start at Lake McDonald Lodge and cross-country ski up Going-to-the-Sun Road. The 2½-mi Apgar Natural Trail is popular with snowshoers. No restaurants or stores are open in winter in Glacier.

Outfitters & Expeditions

Glacier Park Ski Tours leads one-day or multiday guided ski trips on the park's scenic winter trails.
