When it comes to beef this is the place to steak out!

Dining here you should not expect a quick bite to eat. It is an experience from start to finish. You are given time to enjoy and finish each course. Then when the main course comes you have no choice but to be amazed by the meat not just visually, but by the best beef you will ever have pass you lips!

Excellent prime rib

One of my favorite restaurants for prime rib. Comes with bone in, but its extremely tender and flavorful. Moreover, its a pretty decent quantity (the regular size) for a full meal. The waitstaff is rather accommodating and generally rather genial, and the atmosphere is cozy, especially the nautically themed downstairs dining room.

Prime Rib is TOPS

We are natives of STL and go to Kreis's every couple of months for the wonderful old-world, classic wood bar, attentive staff, exceptional steaks and prime rib (best in town) and reasonable prices. There is simply no better steak house in the area and that includes every "well known" downtown restaurant.

Great service, great steaks, 1950's feel

My elderly parents would LOVE this place, but my NY and LA clients loved it too. This is the real deal that places like Ruth's Chris and other upscale steakhouses are trying to re-create. Your options? Steak, steak, steak and lambchops. And old-fashioned desserts, like a killer strudel. The service was exceptional; we were a very large party and had a waiter to ourselves.
