Fodor's Review:
Lead-glass windows and marble columns give historic charm to this former YMCA, which dates back to 1907. Renovated in 2001, this hotel's freebies include a generous continental breakfast, soda and popcorn throughout the day, and cocktails and snacks in the evening. Convenient to the Gateway Arch, it is next to Union Station, St. Louis' turn-of-the-20th-century rail hub morphed into a mall.
