The evening my wife and I spent at Garozzo's was fantastic (hence the high ratings from a normally low rater). While I can't guarantee anyone else's experience will be as good as mine, the evening I enjoyed at Garozzo's was about as good as it gets. For me, it was like a trip back in time, to the Italian restaurants that used to be in Kansas City 30 - 40 years ago. That experience is enhanced by this restaurant's location in an older, mostly residential area just north of downtown, and by the 50s and 60s era Italian hits playing on the restaurant's music system. The owner himself came out and talked to us while we were there and I've rarely met a more interesting, colorful restaurateur.
