Fodor's Review

Frequently cited as the seat of Mississippi political power during the 1920s, when it was called the King Edward, this historic landmark hotel reopened in 2010 with an extravagant lobby area and elegant rooms and suites equipped with the latest technology. The signature restaurant, the King Edward Grill, offers a menu of modern Southern cuisine, and snacks, cocktails, and other beverages are available in the buzzing King Edward Bar. There's also a coffee shop. The hotel shares the building with a number of upscale apartments.
