Fodor's Review

French and American furnishings reflect the menu of one of Detroit's finest and most expensive restaurants. Try the escargot with spinach and Parmesan, wrapped in phyllo pastry. Delectable desserts include apple flan with cinnamon ice cream. There's a pianist Tuesday through Saturday.

Real Detroit

Coming to Detroit, well this is a fine spot downtown to really have a NY experience. Very well done, Easy, attentive and sophisticated. bring the CEO sit back and enjoy. Detroit lives on in places like this.

Detroits salvation

Detroit isn't back yet but with spots like Opus you can have a world class meal with wonderful service in walking distance to a great Casino. There are others in town but this is my favourite

Priciest Doesn't Equal Best

I've dined here about 6 times. The last time, due to traffic on a Saturday evening, it took 22 minutes to drive the last 3 blocks to the restaurant. (Remember the good old days when downtown Detroit was a ghost town after dark?) Of course, not Opus' fault. While the menu prices rank right up there with the most expensive restaurants in town, the food and service don't keep pace. We left after our most recent visit feeling for the money it "wasn't

all that". Not that it's bad; it's just that one can do better when going out for an expensive dinner.
