Fodor's Review:

The Bureau of Urban Living, a home goods boutique stocked with hip, moderately priced items, is helping to lead a revitalization of boutique shopping in the city. The Midtown shop offers brands like Popink, a pop culture-inspired line of soaps and dinnerware; Hybrid-Home pillows and prints; Knock Knock cards, gift wrap and bags; Tablecraft; and Umbra.

After reading about the store on a design blog we paid a visit while in Detroit. What a great place! The owner is friendly and helpful and the stock is delightful. There are great finds here, some handmade things mixed in with mid-high end home design items. This is definitely worth a trip and the owner will even point you towards other great places in Detroit.
