Hotel Northampton Review

Commanding a huge presence in downtown Northampton, this 1927 hotel is a magnet for visiting professors and parents, although location—shops and restaurants are right outside the door—is the best thing this historic property has going for it; rooms range from small and dreary (though clean) to more spacious and executive-level suites, which have been updated and have flat-screen TVs. Ask for a newly renovated room; the others need work. Most rooms are decorated in subtle neutrals and pastels with reproductions of period antiques.
