Cutesy furnishings (think: plaid couches and family photos) and plastic flowers decorate the smallish living room and guest bedrooms. Yet, with only three rooms to choose from—the Primrose, the Princess Rose, and the Petit Rose—this homey, Victorian-era B&B fills up fast, especially during high season. The location, adjacent to the Mount Holyoke College campus and the shops of the Village Commons, couldn't be better. Pros: friendly, down-home atmosphere; you can walk to Mount Holyoke and downtown. Cons: feels like Grandma's place, full of doodads and lace.
