Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame
Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Review
Along the banks of the Connecticut River, this 80,000-square-foot facility is dedicated to Springfield's own Dr. James Naismith, who invented the game in 1891. It includes a soaring domed arena where you can practice jumpers, dozens of high-tech interactive exhibits, and video footage and interviews with former players. The Honors Rings pay tribute to the hall's nearly 300 enshrinees. It's easy to find—just look for the 15-story spire with an illuminated basketball on top.
