Essex Shipbuilding Museum

Essex Shipbuilding Museum Review

At what is still an active shipyard, this museum traces the evolution of the American schooner, which was first created in Essex. The museum sometimes offers shipbuilding demonstrations. One-hour tours take in the museum's many buildings and boats, especially the Evelina M. Goulart—one of only seven remaining Essex-built schooners.
