Fodor's Review

Shaped like a giant fried clam box, this small roadside stand is the best place to sample Ipswich's famous bivalves. Since 1938 locals and tourists have been lining up for clams, oysters, scallops, and onion rings.

You want the best fried clams in the world?

This place has the best fried clams in the world - bar none. The atmosphere is definately clam- shack retro 50's and not the place for a romantic encounter, but if you want to marvel in some awesome fried seafood that you'll remember for years, this is the place. Onion Rings are great too, not too bready - you can really see and taste the onion! These are the real full- bellied Ipswich Clams you don't usually get. And if the orgy of fried foods

isn't enough for you, there is a great little ice cream joint down the road about a mile.
