Fog Island Café

Fog Island Café Review

Cherished year-round for its exceptional breakfasts (e.g., pesto scrambled eggs), Fog Island is just as fine a spot for lunch. The storefront space is cheerily decked out in a fresh country style (echoed in the friendly service), and chef-owners Mark and Anne Dawson—both Culinary Institute of America grads—seem determined to provide the best possible value to transients and natives alike.

Don't bother trying breakfast anywhere else. We visited all popular breakfast/lunch places on the island when we could have saved time and bad meals by just coming to the Fog Island cafe every day instead! The food was great and the service was friendly and prompt. Definitely worth the 15 min wait on the sidewalk every day!

Many places have average pancakes, but Fog Island Cafe's are truly special. Both the blueberry and the trail cakes were divine. Also tried the pesto scramble which was delicious. Coffee & homefries average. Good service, and we were surprised how short our wait time was on an August morning.
