Cons
Wauwinet Review
This resplendently updated 1850 resort straddles a "haulover" poised between ocean and bay—which means beaches on both sides. Head out by complimentary van or launch to partake of utmost pampering (the staff-to-guest ratio exceeds one-on-one). Optional activities include sailing, water-taxiing to a private beach along Coatue, and touring the Great Point nature preserve by Land Rover. Of course, it's tempting just to stay put, what with the cushy country-chic rooms (lavished with Pratesi linens) and a splendid restaurant, Topper's.

My husband and I went to the Wauwinet for a few days trip. It is a very pretty and well kept inn that is on the pricier side. The Staff was very nice and aided us with each need. The hotel offered many amenities but when it came to booking these amenities the service was very poor. The front desk staff made a few mistakes with scheduling. I had ask for a cab to be called and they said it would be there by the time we got down and when we came down the woman at the front desk had no idea of a reservation and seemed unaware and not concerned with the fact that they made a mistake. Overall a nice place but overpriced for the service.
