Jimmy Seas
Jimmy Seas Review
The irresistible fragrance of sautéed garlic wafting out these doors beckons lovers of the "stinking rose." Most dishes come in the pan they're cooked in and are among the biggest portions you'll find on the island. Classic red-sauce Italian dishes include vongole (whole littleneck clams) marinara and linguine puttanesca. A brightly colored porch and painted ceilings add to the place's charm, although service can be a little uneven.

Have been to Jimmy Sea's on numerous occasions. If you are not at the door at opening, you will wait for some time. The staff usually is fine and the seating is very varied and old remnants which add to the flavor. The place is pricey but the food is always delicious. Can be cramped most times but worth it. Only problem is you never know in early season when they are opening. A must for all Vineyard visitors. you will leave with a doggy bag.

Jimmy Seas is one of the best restaurants in Oak Bluffs. Yes, the line is usually long, and yes the wait staff isn't 100% helpful, BUT for such a small restaurant it does really well for itself. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is fun. I highly recommend Jimmy Seas to anyone that likes pasta and seafood!

4 couples came into the restaurant which was empty. When asked to sit in the window we were told no, it was only for parties of 4. When school friends of the wait staff came in, they weren't not treated the same, they got prime seating for something they see and live every day, yet the people who come for only a short time are not allowed the good seats.
The wine list was lacking, They over charged for basic table wine at $10 a glass for a $5-6 wine. They didn't have a Pinot Noir on the menu.
Food was cooked and hot, but tried to find the flavor. I purchased the Chicken, Shrimp and Artichokes. There was 3 huge pieces of chicken which lacked in flavor and was chewy, I think they precook the chicken in the oven and just add it in the end. It could have been sliced to make it easier cut and eat, and to absorb flavor. There was 6 shrimp with tails on.
The set up is strange, in that they have some tables and some out of place booths that look like they came from an old McDonalds. Parties of 2 tables are all shoved in corners or in walk paths for the Waite staff
Over all we were very disappointed with the service, quality and price of our dinner.
