Black Dog Tavern Review

This island landmark—more popular with tourists than locals—lies just steps from the ferry terminal in Vineyard Haven. In July and August, the wait for breakfast (with an expansive omelet assortment) can be as much as an hour. Why? Partly because the character inside—roaring fireplace, dark-wood walls, maritime memorabilia, and a grand view of the water—makes everyone feel so at home. The menu is heavy on local fish, chowders, and chops.

    WOW - Yummy

Went to lunch at the BD-MV. We asked if they had steamers, they said they weren't on the lunch menu but took the time to ask the kitchen if we could order them for lunch. They went above and beyond and made our lunch experience a great one. The steamers weren't sandy and the Lobster roll was packed with lobster. We will be back.
