Menemsha Inn and Cottages Review

For 40 years the late Life photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt returned to his cottage on the hill here for the panoramic view of Vineyard Sound and Cuttyhunk beyond the trees below. These cottages, which are owned by the neighboring Beach Plum Inn, all have screened porches, fireplaces, and kitchens, tumble down a hillside behind the main house and vary in privacy and views. You can also stay in the 1989 inn building or the pleasant Carriage House. All rooms have private decks, most with sunset views. Suites include sitting areas, desks, and big tiled baths. A continental breakfast is served in a solarium-style breakfast room with a deck facing the ocean. Passes and shuttle transportation to both Squibnocket and Lucy Vincent Beaches are provided.
