Thorncroft Inn Review

On 2½ wooded acres about 1 mi from the ferry, this inn's main building, a 1918 Craftsman bungalow, combines fine colonial and richly carved Renaissance-revival antiques with tasteful reproductions to create a somewhat formal environment. Most rooms have working fireplaces and canopy beds; three rooms have two-person whirlpool baths, and two have private hot-tub spas. Rooms in the carriage house, set apart from the main house via a breezeway, are more secluded.
