Lambert's Cove Inn Review

A narrow road winds through pine woods and beside creeper-covered stone walls to this posh, handsomely designed inn surrounded by extraordinary gardens and old stone walls. This 1790 farmhouse inn is an exquisite gem. The richly appointed rooms each have decorative schemes and antiques based on grand East Coast resort towns, from Key West to Bar Harbor. Those in the outbuildings are airy and a bit more contemporary, some with decks and porches. Guests receive free passes to beautiful and private Lambert's Cove beach (there's also a pool). Fireplaces and hardwood floors lend warmth to the stellar contemporary restaurant, where you might dine on braised veal cheeks with sweet corn-English pea risotto.
