Martha's Vineyard Restaurants

State Road Restaurant

State Road Restaurant Review

High ceilings, exposed beams, and a beautiful stone fireplace make for a warm and light-filled meal. There's nothing plain about the breakfasts—try the bacon-cheddar jalapeño grits, served with wilted spinach, roasted shallots, and eggs the way you like them. For lunch try the wood-grilled rainbow trout with local baby greens; as with most of the dishes here, it takes advantage of local and organic products. At night, under the glow of candlelight, order the wood-grilled lamb tenderloin served with roasted tomato risotto, olive tapenade, and curry onion rings.
