The airy restaurant at Winnetu Oceanside Resort draws plenty of discerning diners, including plenty of nonhotel guests, to sample some of the most exquisite and creatively prepared seafood on the island. It's the only dining room with a south-facing water view, and it's a stunning one at that. The staff here is young, eager to please, and friendly, and chef Mark Goldberg, previously of Boston's famed Mistral restaurant, knows his way around a kitchen. You won't find a better lobster dish on the island than Lure's tender butter-poached version topped with roasted corn and fava beans and served alongside buttery cornbread. Locally caught fluke with littleneck clams, leeks, smoked bacon, and a rich chowder broth is another star. Finish off with the molten Valhrona chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and raspberry coulis.

Was disappointed as they do not serve the Valhrona cake as Fodor's reported. Also we had the lobster but there was very little corn and no cornbread. We would not go back.
