The airy restaurant at Winnetu Oceanside Resort draws plenty of discerning diners to sample some of the island's most exquisite and creatively prepared seafood. It's the only dining room with a south facing water view, and it's a stunning one at that. You won't find a better lobster dish on the island than Lure's tender butter-poached version topped with roasted corn and fava beans and served alongside buttery corn bread. Locally caught fluke with littleneck clams, leeks, smoked bacon, and a rich chowder broth is another star. If you've got children in tow, you'll appreciate the back dining area, complete with separate play area (you can actually have dinner with the little ones along—without the angry glares from your neighbors). There is a free water taxi from Edgartown to the restaurant; call ahead.
