Detente Review

A dark, intimate wine bar and restaurant with hardwood floors and rich banquette seating, Detente serves more than a dozen wines by the glass as well as numerous half bottles. Even if you're not much of an oenophile, it's worth a trip just for the innovative food, much of it from local farms and seafood purveyors. Try the complex starter of ahi-tuna tartare with toasted pine nuts, vanilla-pear puree, and arugula salad, followed by such choice entrées as roasted venison loin with thyme spaetzle, sautéed Swiss chard, blue cheese, and roasted figs; or lemon-honey-basted halibut with potato au gratin, truffled leek puree, roasted artichokes, and oven-dried tomatoes.

Not only is this one of the cutest spots on the island, but the food is fantastic. Can't say enought good things.
