This small storefront restaurant opened in 2006 to rave reviews. Sharky's serves tasty -- somewhat creative -- Mexican and Southwestern fare and great drinks, and you may wait awhile to get a table. But once you're in, savor spicy tortilla soup, lobster quesadillas, steak burritos, chicken mole, and Gaucho-style skirt steak. There's an extensive margarita list (they're strong here), and for dessert try apple-pie empanadas drizzled with caramel sauce. Limited items from the menu are served until around midnight during the summer season.

A very local and very fun spot for sure. We started with the BEST Watermelon Margarita I have ever had, followed by a steak quesadilla that was up there with the 5 best I have ever had. Service was good, could have been better, but very friendly- it just was so busy that we couldn't always get her attention. Can't wait to go back!

When you're finally sick of seafood, and want to feel more at home, Sharky's does fill a niche. Unfortunately, the margarita I tried to drink was horrible. The food, on the other hand, was not bad. Basic Mexican fare at normal island prices. Ask for a plastic shark before you leave.

Unfortunately the word is out on this cantina in Oak Bluffs, and the wait can be from 30 minutes in the winter to 1.5 hours in the summer. But we still wait for the amazing steak, the best margaritas we've ever had, and the amazing service. Our children (4yrs/8yrs)drag us to Sharky's every time we are on the island, yet the crowd is full of young, hip, corona and margarita drinkers. One of the only places we can go that caters to ALL age groups. You MUST get the steak, in anything, and try the tilapia fish tacos. (Hold off on the cod) Full menu served until 12:30am everyday, so a great spot to go when we arrive on the last ferry. A GREAT place, and a GREAT time!
